Ingredients
Steak Ingredients
1 ½lbsof ground Beef
½cupof Breadcrumbs
1Egg
2tbspof Worcestershire sauce
1tspof Garlic powder
1tspof Onion powder
Salt & Black pepper to taste
Potatoes Ingredients
2lbspeeled & cubed Potatoes
4-5clovesof quartered Garlic
½cupof warm Milksubstitute with soy or nut milk of choice
4tbspof Butter
1cupof shredded Cheddar cheese
3-4strips of fried Bacon
2tbspof Sour cream
2tbspof Chives
Salt and Black pepper to taste
Gravy Ingredients
1sliced Onion
8ozof sliced Mushrooms
2cupsof Beef broth
3tbspof Cornstarch + 3 tbl of Water
1tspof Thyme
Instructions
Steak Instructions
Fry the bacon over medium heat. Once done, set aside to use in the potatoes.
Using the same pan, sauté the onions for a few minutes until they are golden and fragrant. Let cool.
Mix all of the steak ingredients in a bowl, add the ground beef, and form into 4 oval patties.
Brown the patties 2-3 minutes per side on medium-high heat, set aside, while making the gravy.
Gravy Instructions
In the same pan as the just-browned steaks, make the gravy by sautéing the onions for 2-3 minutes, then add the butter and mushrooms. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes.
Add broth and thyme, then simmer for 5 minutes.
Slowly stir in the cornstarch + water to thicken.
Return patties to the gravy, and simmer for 25-30 minutes. Done with internal pattie temperature reaches 160°.
Serve steaks over potatoes with gravy and a vegetable.
Potato Instructions
Boil potatoes and garlic until tender, about 15 minutes.
